Dear All Dancers and Parents,
It is hard to believe after months of planning and preparing our European Oireachtas is finally here. We have 440 dancers registered for this years event, the highest to date, 160 of those will be taking part in our Oireachtas.
To ensure the smooth running of this years event I would ask that you prepare and read our new timetable for Saturday.
The Augusta hall is our main hall with 2 main stages split into 4. The other room the Goodwood room will be used for results on Saturday after the morning competitions.
Some points to note this weekend....
* numbers can be picked up from Aine either Friday night for teachers or Saturday morning at the entry table in the foyer. Please bring your bank statements to show proof of payment.
* there will be a 50 % recall for the Senior Ladies and Gents competitions.
* In accordance with the rules of An Coimisuin, Qualifying for next years Worlds is on a ratio as follows:
Single year age groups 5 will qualify out of every twenty dancers and one for each ten thereafter . In double ages or over 20,s 5 for first 10 and then 1 for each five after. If a world medal holder is one of these places then you can award an extra place but only if qualifier was in places.
* Please make sure that all trophies are returned by Friday evening polished, cleaned and ready to hand out to this years winners. Please check our syllabus for the list of these winners.
* Assessments and Grade exams will take place from 14.00 uhr until 17uhr in the Goodwood room on Saturday.
*Dinner Dance and Kiddies party are all sold out.
* Raffle tickets will be available all day Saturday, raffle will take place at the dinner dance if you are not attending please write your name and school on the ticket.
* All times are approximate please be ready to dance 30 minutes before you are scheduled.
